Qarz-e-Hasna: How Interest-Free Loans in Pakistan Are Quietly Changing Lives
There is a kind of poverty that does not announce itself loudly. It does not always look like…
The service to God’s creation by the Sadat-e-Kazmia of Dargah Alia Badomalhi Sharif spans approximately three hundred years. Throughout every era, services have been rendered according to the needs of the time. This journey of human welfare, which began during the Shah Jahan era (17th century), has passed through various stages and has now entered the 21st century.
Let Change Be Relentless
“Whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind.”
Relentless Love, Real Impact
Hayye A’al Al-Falah – Come! Towards success… Rising above the prejudice of any color, race, religion, nation, sect, or class division, we invite all mankind towards success, which is in seeking the good of God’s creation.
Hayye A’al Al-Falah – Come! Towards Success… Rising above the prejudice of any color, race, religion, nation, sect, or class division, we invite all mankind towards success, which lies in seeking the welfare of God’s creation.
Keeping the vision of “Hayye A’al Al-Falah” in mind, our mission is to take up the responsibility of serving millions of deserving individuals selflessly, alongside our partners across the globe.
Our core initiatives -including Free Eye Camps, Free Medical Camps, Free Homeopathic Camps, Free Herbal (Tibb) Camps, and Free Dental Camps—along with the Syed Ali Ahmad Shah Hospital, are dedicated day and night to assisting those in need. Furthermore, we provide financial support through Qarz-e-Hasna (interest-free loans) to help unemployed individuals establish small businesses and improve their economic standing.
Humanitarian work reached its peak during the blessed era of Syed Ahmad Shah Ghaus Kazmi Al-Mashhadi (Qadri Noshahi). At that time, people were suffering from incurable diseases such as epilepsy, leprosy, vitiligo, mental illness, cancer, and tuberculosis. Despair was widespread, and many patients were abandoned by their families.
In these circumstances, Syed Ahmad Shah Ghaus opened his doors to suffering humanity:
He provided refuge for abandoned patients.
He funded the treatment of these patients from his personal resources.
106 huts were specifically constructed for these patients, where people from near and far resided for treatment.
This mission was continued by his successor, Syed Faqir Ullah Shah Kazmi Al-Mashhadi.
Our history proves that we respond to every call for help in times of crisis.
Advanced ophthalmic care located at Dargah Alia Badomalhi Sharif for those in need.
Mobile clinics providing screening and surgeries to remote underprivileged villages.
General healthcare checkups and medicine distribution for various common ailments.
Traditional natural healing methods offered free of cost by experienced practitioners.
Comprehensive dental checkups, extractions, and hygiene education for the community.
Alternative medical treatments focusing on holistic patient-centered wellness.
In 1978-79, Syed Ali Ahmad Shah Kazmi Al-Mashhadi, witnessing the complex health issues of the region, donated 7.5 acres of his personal land to the Health Department, Government of Punjab, for a hospital when other local landowners refused. He also donated 1.75 acres of land near his home for a girls’ school, continuing the legacy of his ancestors.
The journey of the Syed Faqir Ullah Shah Welfare Foundation began in 1995. Today, in 2026, the foundation stands as a testament to the sincere hard work, dedication, and vision of our founders, officers, staff, and members.
While this journey has seen many ups and downs, our caravan of passion has remained steadfast toward its goal. Our true success lies in delivering services to the common man. Every milestone in our history tells a story: a person regaining their sight after seventy years, an orphan achieving a high station in life, or a patient recovering from an “incurable” disease. This long saga of unwavering success continues, and God willing, it shall always remain so.
To further expand these efforts and involve the community, the “Syed Faqir Ullah Shah Trust” is now registered as the “Syed Faqir Ullah Shah Welfare Foundation”.

We built these programs around real needs, not ideas, so help reaches people before hardship gets the last word.
We aim to establish training institutes to provide religious awareness to children and instill a sense of purpose in the youth.
Provided aid to flood and earthquake victims, financial support for Palestine, and current solidarity with Iran during difficult times.
While large-scale institutes are in the planning phase, we currently pay monthly and semester fees for many brilliant students in schools, colleges, and universities.
Currently, the foundation operates through specialized wings: Mani Faqiri, Team Sakina, and Vanguard.
The Syed Ali Ahmad Shah Free Eye Hospital is our most vital project and the dream of our Founder & Chairman.
Our primary objective is to collectively address the challenges faced by the followers (Mureedeen) of Sarkar Shah Sahib. Whether these are health, educational, socio-economic, or spiritual issues, we strive to find a solution.
